[HELP] Weird Headphone Jack Issue

First post here so I hope I did the title of the thread correctly. I'll cut to the point though because this issue has been bugging the hell out of me for about a month now.

My Note 3 (VZW N900V) headphone jack has not been working for whatever reason for around a month now. I updated to Lollipop and ever since then it doesn't detect heaphones being connected. I ruled out the lint issue as well as any other problems with the port by straight up replacing it with another known (and tested myself) working port from another N900V. The issue did not go away as I hoped though. Fast forward to.. well.. an hour ago and I downgraded my Note to 4.4.4 just to see if it was a firmware issue or something since it hasn't worked at all since Lollipop, no dice fam. I'm kind of lost now and debating on just selling it and fixing my M7.

EDIT: Soundabout app works for whatever reason. Seems like the OS itself is not recognizing the headphones, but if I force it to output through them with soundabout then it works fine. hopefully this continues working.
