Samsung Galaxy Note 9 renders show dual rear cameras and fingerprint scanner

Samsung's Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series are always some of the most hyped-up phones of the year. We are almost in the second half of 2018, so it's right about time to see what Samsung has to offer again. We already saw the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+ earlier this year. The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has just been leaked by famous leaker OnLeaks.

Not surprising at all, but the Galaxy Note 9 shares the same design language as the S9/S9+. It sports an Infinity Display with minimized bezels on top and bottom. You'll see the power and volume buttons on the left side of the phone, while Bixby button sits proudly on the right side. Fortunately, the phone also keeps the 3.5mm headphone jack for all your entertainment and audiophile needs.

On the right side of the audio jack, you'll see a USB Type-C port, microphone and speaker grille, and an ejectable S Pen. Fingerprint scanner sits on the back of the phone, under horizontally placed camera module. Much better placement than the one on Note 8, if you ask me. That also means no in-display fingerprint scanner again, despite the reports. Maybe that's a thing of the next year.

OnLeaks also reported the phone's thickness, which is 8.8mm. That means it's only 0.2mm thicker than its predecessor. Screen size is 6.3 inches.

Other than these leaks, there is really not much known about Note 9. The phone is expected to have an 18.5:9 screen aspect ratio at QHD+ resolution, 6GB of RAM, and 256GB internal storage. Chipset choice will vary by region, but most likely they'll be Exynos 9810 and Snapdragon 845. Battery size is rumored to be 3,850 mAh, which is more than 15% increase compared to Note 8. It was last year's flagship's biggest problem. Crown UX is supposed to be the name of the new software that Samsung will offer. Please keep in mind that this is all rumors and nothing is official yet.

OnLeaks also provided a 360-degree render, which you can see in the video above. As I've already mentioned, you'll see more changes on the back of the phone as the front is identical to the S9/S9+. Samsung really has to work a lot on the software side of the phone. In terms of design, there really isn't much of a difference between Note 9 and its predecessor. We'll most likely see an upgraded camera system, but it will have the same dual-aperture system as the S9+ and some more unique features.

Reports suggest that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 9 on the 9th of August. Please keep in mind that some last minute changes can also be made on the phone, so leaked measurements and/or photos can be a slightly different than a final product. Whatever the case may be, we at least know what to expect from the next representative of Samsung's Note series.
