Hands-on with the Samsung Galaxy Note 9

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 hands-on

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 finally went official today (with some exciting announcements). The device was one of the worst kept secrets in the smartphone world over the last couple of months. It's still nice to tack that "official" tag on the device and get our hands on it. Thankfully, our friends over at Pocketnow got an early look at the Galaxy Note 9. Here is their hands-on experience:

Check out our lengthy guide for all the gritty details, but watch the video for a hands-on impression. As a quick recap, this is pretty much a slightly upgraded Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The overall design of the phone is basically the same. The big change is the position of the fingerprint sensor, which is much better now. The display is every so slightly bigger (6.3 vs 6.4-inches).

The biggest change is probably the new Bluetooth S Pen. The Bluetooth functionality gives it the ability to do a lot more now. It can act as a remote for snapping photos and progressing through slideshows. That doesn't sound terribly interesting, but it could get more functionality in the future. There are some other spec differences which can be seen below in the chart.
